Yesterday youngest had a bowl of M&M's in the car that he was snacking on. He set them on the armrest and when I went around a corner they spilled into the seat next to him. He struggled within the confides of his seatbelt to pick them up. After about a minute of gathering his M&M's he asks me:"Mom - was that the 5 second rule?" I replied "Yes"
He confirmed "So I got them in time?"
I assured "Yeah, you got 'em in time!"
He was SO serious, really concerned and believing that the 5 second rule had a magical way of fending off germs, dirt and ick! Oh, to be so clueless - how freeing that would be!
