Best, Worst, Maybe Tomorrow . . . . .

Every night when I tuck my 6 year old into bed, I lay with him and we talk about his day. We each do something we call Best, Worst, Maybe Tomorrow.
We each tell the best thing about our day.
Then the worst thing about our day.
Lastly, what we wish for Tomorrow.
Example: last night youngest said:
My best part of the day was getting to watch brother and his friend play volleyball when Dad and I went to pick them up.
My worst was when we had to drop off brother's friend, I wanted to play with him more.
Maybe Tomorrow it will be warmer outside.
This is a special time for youngest and me, a lot of times I am very surprised at what the best part of his day was! I encourage you to try this! I know some people do it at the dinner table - and involve the whole family. We've done that before, but with our busy schedule - bedtime works best.

What a great idea!

It is so neat to hear/ read about what others do.

My son is graduating from High School this year and heading off to college. Time flies.. although when I was going through it, I felt like some days were standing still.

Enjoy the memories!

What a sweet idea. My son is only 3 so he may be too young to get this yet, but I'm going to try to remember it for when he's a bit older!

I’m stopping by and let you know that I’ve got some free books up for grabs in my May Pay It Forward Book Exchange. Come on over if you’re interested in entering to win or even hosting your own PIF giveaway!

That's a good one. We used to do "High Points and Low Points" every night, but got away from it a bit. Sometimes I randomly as the "Good, Better, Best" question too. One thing I'd love to do more consistently is "I'm most thankful for ______ today."

But Dr. D and Shaggy are such talkers that we don't always need conversation starters like that. And LadyBug and Baby BE hold their own, truth be told :)

That is a wonderful idea, you could even ask yourself these questions right before falling asleep, focusing on what you have to be grateful for from your day. Thanks! :)
